Eccentric Intelligence

Eccentric Intelligence is an investigation of the hyper local as cities evolve.

By understanding architectural typology as elements that embody a fusion of history and memory, we can understand its absence from new universal architecture’s as the loss of understanding of place as urban density increases. By exploring the ideas of typological anomalies, this project proposes that it is these eccentricities, rather than the most common elements that define a sense of place. Through a series of analyses, the project describes the logic embedded within these anomalies and brings them together, creating a design that is both wholly new and inseparably of its place.
